This part time HR Assistant role will provide administrative support to the human resources team and employees at the plant.  


• Performs new employee orientations. Gathers and verifies all necessary documents.
• Performs benefits orientations and enrolls employees in the benefit programs.
• Conducts 401(k) orientations and processes enrollments.
• Assures the accurate and timely transfer of records to Payroll by updating and maintaining the data in the payroll and time and attendance software in order to ensure the payroll system       integrity.
• Maintains the Human Resource Data Base by adding, modifying or deleting data as appropriate.
• Maintains employee files.
• Maintains files on benefits programs, 401(k), and other Human Resource matters.
• Assists in the employment function as needed which may include; application review, scheduling interviews, interviewing, scheduling interviews for hiring manager, reference checking, etc.
• Performs customer service function by responding to employee requests and questions.
• Assists with and coordinates the performance review process for hourly and salaried employees.
• Coordinates the 5 and 10 year service award programs.
• Makes photocopies, scans or faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
• Provides administrative support and performs other duties as required.


• Requires a high school diploma/GED; Associates Degree Preferred and skills associated with human resource management and benefits administration plus 2-4 experience working in an       office environment requiring exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with the use of the MS Office suite of programs with special emphasis on Excel and Access.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions while maintaining               c onfidentiality.
• Must have time management skills, and be able to manage multiple projects.
• Willing to flex hours to ensure coverage for all shifts.
