    Uses sound business and managerial judgment to direct all plant operations and support services with the mission for total customer satisfaction through quality, on-time delivery and cost. The Plant Manger directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. Personal qualities includes the following abilities:

    • Leads a diverse staff from multiple disciplines through effective delegation of authority.
    • Maintains awareness of all business functions as they impact our customers
    • Maintains high ethical standards communicating openly to corporate directors


    • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving within company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safe plant by monitoring safety, working with Safety department to be proactive, and working with all departments to maintain safe operations.
    • Establish and direct plant policies and procedures that pertain to current manufacturing operation and also include all new/proposed manufacturing operations.
    • Responsible for plant production goals.
    • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff by working with all department heads to insure that staffing and training needs are being met.
    • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of procurement, production, and shipping so as to meet our customer’s needs.
    • Conduct employee performance reviews.
    • Schedule and conduct plant production meetings to maintain information exchange
    • Develop short range and long range investment plans to support Sales Projections
    • Develop short range and long range operating Budgets
    • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
    • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
    • Manages capital asset maintenance.
    • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
    • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
    • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
    • Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
    • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
    • Provides direction, development and leadership to operations team managers and supervisors
    • Other Duties as required


    • Bachelor degree with 5-7 years’ experience in general manufacturing management preferred. A combination of education/experience is acceptable.  Certified training in business systems and processes. Desirable educational experiences include:
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
    • Working knowledge of Safety and Environmental laws
    • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements 
    • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
