  • Overview

    This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in the MP&L department.  This role is very versatile and will work towards the right candidates strengths! This position will schedule production floor activities in order to meet customer shipping requirements as well as handle incoming customer orders and insure on time delivery.  There is also responsibiilty to serve as a liason between the customer and SA Automotive staff.  Another responsibility will be to compile and maintain material inventory and status information to expedite movement of material between supplier and production facility. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for checking customer systems for release/inventory information on a regular basis (as required by customer)
    • Enter manually releases into QAD for new customers and non-EDI customers
    • Insure that all daily releases from our customers are pulled in
    • Insure that EDI is running prior to submission of ASN’s
    • Chrysler - SMART checks – Every two hrs per Chrysler daily checklist, respond to tickets promptly and accurately
    • ASN - Insuring that all EDI transactions are verified prior/after ASN submissions (packaging, parts number and accums are accurate)
    • CSDS – understanding how to view and confirm requirements and ASN confirmations
    • Ford DDL
    • EDDL – Understanding how to maneuver thru the system like normal DDL method
    • SIM Ratings – Review every Tuesday for weekly delivery details Production & Ford Customer Service & review with materials team to make the aware of the system and if needed what is needed to be corrected to resolve any repeat issues affecting delivery rating performance
    • Regular phone communication with customer as needed
    • Level 1
    • Count raw material inventory
    • Receive material in
    • Adjust material in QAD
    • Transfer material in QAD
    • Oder material according to the schedule
    • Communicate with suppliers when needed
    • Weekly releases to all suppliers
    • Set up trucks to pick from suppliers
    • Level 2
    • Sustain no more than 1 week worth of material with out having to adjust.
    • Analysis when raw material is off in QAD help find a reason
    • Run the raw material monthly inventory
    • Ability to know when raw material is being used too much.
    • Adjust with raw material if needed due to high scrap
    • Level 3
    • All suppliers on min/max in QAD
    • All materials on Kan/Ban
    • Ability to check shippers.
    • Ability to check smart and answer smart.
    • Ability to pull releases
    • Ability to make Kan/Ban labels.
    • Comply with safety regulations & maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S)
    • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
    • Works with customer service and material analyst to ensure efficient production scheduling
    • Works with production supervisors to ensure schedule adjustments are made with customer requirements in mind
    • Production reporting for scrap and downtime and in some cases 5S
    • Scheduling within the ERP/MRP system
    • Attends daily productions meetings
    • Assists with monthly and annual inventory counts
    • Assists both customer service and material analyst as needed
    • Responsible for reports for daily production meeting as well has reporting out information for monthly meetings.
    • Awareness of customer requirements
    • Awareness of TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma /GED with 3-5 Years experience or an associate’s degree with 1 year experience
    • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, QAD a plus
    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Must demonstrate attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task with ease
